"I can use my new diesel engine oil vegetable peugoet 306?
I A 306 Turbo Diesel Peugeot. 1999 registered 81k on the clock and the engine DW8. Is it run properly this new vegetable oil, as it has a Lucas fuel pump? Someone said that these products are likely to fail if used with SVO?
No. Vegetables and / or other organic cooking oils are too heavy be used in a diesel engine "as is". The oil must first be heated in a storage tank before being filtered and pushed to the injectors. You still start the engine with conventional diesel-based fuels. There are conversion kits sold here in the U.S. they have everything they need to convert a diesel truck biodiesel and works quite well. The city near my old kitchen oils (left recyclers in the city) in all trucks in the same public works, saving thousands of dollars each year in fuel costs.
